Daniel Pipes and Khalid Duran August 16, 2002 Our respective bookshelves groan under the weight of books bearing titles like Islam and the West, The Future of Islam and the West, and The Islamic World and the West. What is striking about these books - all quite recently written and published - is the anachronism of their geographic premise. With millions of Muslims now living in the West, especially in North America and Western Europe, the old dichotomy of Islam and the West exists no more. This presence of Muslims in the West has profound importance for both civilizations involved, the Western and the Islamic, and has a potential for both good and ill. Indeed, looking ahead, it is hard to see any other cultural interaction quite so fraught with implications as this one. Click here to read this important in-depth report
Efraim Halevy
The other day, the head of the Mossad, Efraim Halevy, gave an address in the framework of a closed meeting of the NATO Alliance Council in Brussels. Participants in the meeting included 19 Ambassadors of the member countries in the Alliance. Here is the full text of his address:
This photo section, was originaly published on our web in the summer of 2000 - a couple of months before the War of Oslo began. In publishing these photos, we hoped to call attention to the story that most journalists didn't think "important enough" to publish - the Palestinian "summer camps". These "summer camps" - which held tens of thousands of Palestinian children from ages 6 to 16 - were actually training camps to indoctrinate the children in the hatred of Jews and the need for every Palestinian to give his/her life in the upcoming war against them. Our way of thinking, along with our information that indeed Arafat was intent on starting open warfare on Israel, was that in the case of fighting, these children would be used in the front lines, in the hope that many would be hurt, killed and maimed, in order to fight a "propoganda war" against Israel. Any wonder the journalists didn't tell you about this going on?
We all saw how Yassir Arafat - THE father of world terrorism, spoke about how bad he felt over the greatest terror attack in the history of humanity - but we also saw how his people, the Palestinains, drunk on their "victory" in Durban, South Africa, went dancing in the streets, giving out sweets, and shooting in the air, to show how happy they were. Here they are - the pictures that were able to "escape" the police that did all they could to supress journalists from publishing.
Since the end of September 2000, the Holy Land has been beset by turmoil and terrorism. The Palestinian-Israeli strife is often described in terms of competing nationalist movements or in terms of disputed territories. Another factor behind the conflict, however, is too often ignored: the religious intolerance and prejudice practiced and preached by the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian Islamicists against Christians and Jews.
The following article by the poet, Alyssa A. Lappen, tells of her rude
awakening from her contacts with Palestinian friends. She then goes on
to write a well documented article on the history of the conflict. A

Document: Complete text of Barak Government "white paper" on PA/PLO
non-compliance of the Oslo Accords
This document was released the Barak government's public affairs
coordinator, Nahman Shai in Novemebr 2000 in a press conference. Like
some sort of "dark juanta" - the government then did all they could to
"dissapear" this document since Yossi Beilen, Shimon Peres and FM Shlomo
Ben-Ami were still trying to save the government by going to Taba in
order to give Arafat more than what he was offered at Camp David.
The Document was given to us by Dr. Aaron Lerner from IMRA and then
published on our site. It shows that even the left-wing government of
Barak knew what was going on ...
Ever wanted to be able to email a friend who writes to you something
like: 'I don't know ... the Israelis say one thing and the Arabs say
another .. all I know is what I see on TV ...'?
If so - this short, concise list of the basic facts is for you!
This article was written by Elyakim Haetzni in September 1998, one year before Arafat started "The
Oslo War", gives the current situation a prespective of history.
Not everybody in Israel was "taken in" by the "Oslo euphoria", nor by
the useless "wishful" thinking by "experts" from all fields and
opinions.
January 6, 1999
On January 4, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
issued a press release in which they attacked Congressman Jim
Saxton, who is the Chairman, The Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional
Warfare for what he had written in a article that appeared on the
Gamla web site in
English. This press release appeared in, among other news
sites and papers in
CNN Interactive. As can be seen in the press release
itself, "Gamla" is also presented in ugly terms.
In the following document, GAMLA replies to the allegations of CAIR,
while allowing you, the user, to read all of the unedited documents, in
order to form your own opinion. In doing so, we believe that an
important lesson of truth can be learned.
Yes, this one is from way back - 1992 when BC takes on James
Baker and his "Land for Peace" way of thinking. GREAT!
